The message behind this artwork has a great significance to me.
Sadly, as we watch the news or interact with others there is still a huge impact of racism, greed & division that First Nations people face.
With this sort of impact on our local indigenous communities & our people, this creates that line of division.
This artwork was designed to depict the boundaries we have. The line that divides us.
I want this artwork to carry a message every time it's shown - that we, as a nation should come together, close the gap, unite and care for this land.
I pray that one day we can work together to build bridges that foster understanding, respect, and unity.
Let's start to create a great future for our young ones - that can honour the rich heritage and wisdom of Indigenous culture so they can live in harmony.
