"River Maiwar" designed by First Nations Contemporary Artist Emily Joanna Reid.

"River Maiwar" beautifully captures the essence of the Brisbane River as it winds its way through the heart of the city, connecting diverse communities and cultures.

This artwork features vibrant dots that symbolize the unique individuals who call this riverside home, each representing a story, a perspective, and a shared love for the refreshing embrace of the water.

As the river flows, it weaves together these narratives, reminding us of the unity and vitality that the water brings to our lives.

"Maiwar" is the traditional name of the Brisbane River named by the Turrbal people in Meanjin, Brisbane.
