"The Island" designed by First Nations Contemporary Artist Emily Joanna Reid.
This artwork is inspired by an incredible part of the world, the Torres Strait Islands located in Far North Queensland. This design was created to acknowledge my decent and Torres Strait Island people from the Murray Islands.
The colours of green, blue & whitesymbolising the Torres Strait Island primary colours which can be found on the flag. The dots represent the community who continuously maintain and care for the island to keep it in it's pristine state.
The white curved line represent the beautiful white sand that connects the clear blue water to the land.
